Labour Friends of Taiwan exists to build friendship, exchange and solidarity between the Labour movement and the people of Taiwan. 

 

Taiwan is a vibrant, progressive, and open democracy. Our shared values mean that Taiwan is a natural partner in facing some of the world’s biggest challenges, from climate change to the future of AI. As Taiwan’s democracy comes under increasing threat, the UK can play an important role in bolstering international support for Taiwan. 

 

Labour Friends of Taiwan believes that the UK and Taiwan have much to gain from working together. From trade, to education, technology and health, prospects, the cooperation between the UK and Taiwan is full of opportunity.  

 

By working with Labour Party parliamentarians, members, unions and the broader Labour movement, Labour Friends of Taiwan aims to foster widespread support for deeper UK-Taiwan ties.
